In short, NDOT put up $9 million in matching funds toward a $27 million dollar USDA project to bring Broadband to rural Lovelock. But as Joe has been following the money...disappeared into Uprise Fiber CEO Stephen Kromer's bank account. After weeks upon weeks of Joe's investigation and sealed lips from almost everyone in Carson City, Attorney General Aaron Ford finally announced charges against Kromer on Friday morning. Shortly afterwards, Kromer turned himself in. Joe recaps the story, along with breaking news from Interim US Attorney Sigal Chattah on her investigation into the case from the Federal end.
