Meet Mehcad Brooks. Mehcad is an award winning actor, as well as producer and writer, known in the entertainment industry for his raw talent and sharp mind. Earlier this year, Mehcad starred as Jackson ‘Jax’ Briggs, a cybernetically-enhanced super soldier and leader of Earthrealm in Warner Bros’ highly anticipated action adventure feature film Mortal Kombat . As well as Mortal Kombat , Mehcad’s been in a whole host of brilliant films including Tyler Perry’s A Fall From Grace and Nobody’s Fool – and he’s shone on the television front in Desperate Housewives , True Blood and most recently in the DC Comic Superhero action-adventure series, Supergirl . Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Mehcad grew up excelling at academics and sports, but always had a deep-rooted passion for the arts (in fact, he gave up a full scholarship to Yale in order to hone his craft). Season 5 of The CW drama Supergirl is looking to be its biggest year yet, with a milestone episode with the 100th episode, new foes, new chapters and a massive crossover that takes one of the biggest DC stories to screen. At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, the cast and executive producers of Supergirl were present to preview the new season that will arrive in October. The Flash Podcast took part in the press room this year to discuss with the actors and executive producer on what to expect in Season 5. Two of the talents that were present were James Olsen and Nia Nal themselves as Mehcad Brooks and Nicole Maines chatted with the press about things to look forward to in the new season. The CW's Girl of Steel had a challenging year this past season on Supergirl as Kara and her friends dealt with Worldkillers and what have you. After a dark season, the super team is getting ready for its fourth season as the cast and producers previewed what is coming up in Season 4 at this year's San Diego Comic-Con. DC TV Podcasts' Andy Behbakht (The Flash Podcast, Titans Podcast) was fortunate to attend the press room to chat with the cast and producers what to expect in the new season.
