- Unlocking Gen Z’s Potential at Work with Linda Perry
In this episode of Career Can Do , Mary Ann Faremouth and mindset coach, Linda Perry, dive into the unique strengths and challenges of Gen Z as they enter today’s workforce. Linda, a former attorney turned coach, highlights how Gen Z’s emotional intelligence and adaptability set them apart. However, they face new challenges: shaped by a digital-first world and impacted by remote work, many Gen Z workers lack the in-person mentorship older generations had, often leading to a disconnect in communication and expectations. Linda emphasizes the importance of leaders bridging this gap by understanding each team member’s motivations and strengths. She encourages leaders to mentor younger employees in finding purpose and confidence, making the workplace more inclusive of Gen Z’s fresh perspectives on balance and well-being. Her approach shows how, by better understanding both ourselves and our teams, leaders can foster a workplace that thrives across generations. - Figuring out who (and what) you want to be with Linda Perry
Today's guest is Linda Perry, and her story of transitioning from a high-powered legal career to following her true calling is both inspiring and refreshingly real. Spoiler alert: self discovery ain't all sunshine and rainbows, but that's kind of the whole point. We rapped about recognizing our ingrained thought patterns and why mindset work is never really done. Grab a glass of wine (or three) and get ready for a conversation that'll leave you pumped to kick some serious ass. EDITED TO ADD: a note from Linda once I shared the live episode with her: "The FUNNIEST part of this - 187 [Angie note: the number of this episode] in criminal defense terms is another way of saying a crime of murder. It’s the statute in California and is a common number for talking about a murder case. Lol." Can't-Miss Moments: The surprising reason new habits and routines might not be sticking (hint: how you're thinking about them makes a huge difference)... Spoiler alert: much like house and car maintenance, mindset isn't a "one and done" fix. Linda has some insights on how to make it part of your regular practice... Talking to myself is... normal? Linda and I have a fascinating conversation about casually chatting with the voices in our heads (it's probably not what you're thinking)... Saber-toothed tigers vs. cyber-toothed tigers: Linda breaks down her simple mindset shift for combatting fear when it's got you paralyzed in place... The worst question you can ask yourself if you want to solve problems (and what to ask instead in order to actually fix things)... Linda's bio: Linda Perry is a mindset coach & business strategist who works with individuals, business owners and their teams become more self-driven and move toward 7-figure success. - EP 391 | What is your fear telling you? featuring Linda Perry
Linda Perry is a mindset coach and business strategist who works with individuals, business owners, and their teams to become more self-driven and move toward 7-figure success. So many people get stuck on a plateau and don’t know how to move forward! Linda uses a mindset-first approach to support individuals and their teams to tap into their core motivations and strengths, and frees them from their blocks so they can soar past 7-figures. She is also a recovering attorney and copywriter and uses her skills of persuasion to show business owners how to make the impact they desire. Linda works with clients through private coaching, group courses and workshops. She is also the lead business instructor at Levin Life Coach Academy where she teaches new coaches how to build a thriving coaching practice. TAKEAWAYS: Look at your decisions. For example, did you decide to take a client because of money? You might be afraid that there will not be another client next, so you might miss red flags and rationalize your decision. Separate fact from fiction. Fear is often wrapped in a story from something in the past that is what ifs and shoulds. Reduce resistance. The truth is we stick to what we fear the most. Accept where you are and surrender one thing. We tend to expect the worst, and we all have a negative bias. We are wired to think of the worst-case scenario, but what is equally possible is that something great is waiting for us around the corner. - Letting Go of the Shoulds with Linda Perry
“I've learned to really just start to give myself permission to live a really good life.” –Linda Perry Are you stuck in the shoulds? So often even when we have a vision, it isn’t ours — it comes from the outside. When Linda Perry started asking “Is this the life I want to be living?” and pushing back against beliefs that had come from outside it led to enormous change. Linda is a mindset coach, and I’m excited to talk to her about making a vision a reality. The first step is to give yourself permission to put something on paper … and allow it to change. Linda recommends putting on your experimentation hat. Don’t worry about the how. Linda calls “the how” the killer of dreams. We need more clarity about the what and the why. We talk about: Releasing beliefs that keep us from what we want, like I don’t deserve a vision, I can’t reach a vision, if I try I’m going to lose everything Creating a list of wants Choosing to act now, not someday, how to claim time, and what happens when you do Being in integrity with ourselves Letting go of gold stars and owning your self-worth Shadow work and how it helps us ABOUT LINDA Linda Perry is a mindset coach & business strategist who works with individuals, business owners and their teams become more self-driven and move toward 7-figure success. LINKS lindamperry.com The Top Three Blocks Keeping You from Getting to Six Figures and Beyond Instagram @Linda.m.perry LinkedIn @lindamperry DOABLE CHANGES At the end of every episode, we share three doable changes, so you can take what you've heard and put it into action. Action is where change happens. Even though we want big change, it’s really little things done over and over that make the difference. So pick a doable thing. Put it in your calendar. Weave it through your days for a week and then move on to the next one. It will have a snowball effect. Here are three Doable Changes from this conversation: FIND YOUR VISION. Go ahead and write your vision on paper. You don’t have to figure out how to do it. You don’t even have to stick with it for the next 5 years, but write down what you want. Then ask: Is this really what I want — or is what I think I’m supposed to want? Keep experimenting until your vision feels clearer and more from the inside. CLAIM 5 MINUTES. Choose something you want to do and put 5 minutes on the calendar for that thing. Do the thing for 5 minutes. Do it every day for a week. Do you want to keep going? Do you want more time? Notice what happens to time and your ideas. HOLD YOURSELF IN INTEGRITY. We’re often good at being in integrity with others, but not with ourselves.Identify one thing you’ve said that you

- Understanding Mindset in Messaging & Marketing with Linda Perry
It’s not enough to just have a great product or service offer, as much as you may wish that were the case. For your marketing efforts to be both strategic and successful, it’s important to understand the mindsets of both your leads and yourself. Let’s play a game of pretend for a moment. You just got a new job (congratulations!). You’re responsible for selling winter jackets to the residents of Aruba or ice to individuals in Alaska. Which would you choose? If neither sounds good to you, that’s because those two groups don’t have a need for what you’re trying to sell. And no need means a difficult, if not impossible, sale . A good marketing strategy can’t rely on basic ideal client avatar research, such as demographics, economics, or geographic locations. Learning about your audience’s mindset is vital to crafting messaging that speaks to the heart of your lead’s needs. What do you know about their psychographics, stage of life, or personal values? Have you done any voice of customer research…and if so, how old is that research now? But understanding mindsets isn’t just about your leads, it’s also about understanding your own mindset as an individual and as a representative of your business. Think about how you feel about sales and marketing. Do you get anxiety about putting offers out there or seeking out visibility opportunities? How do you feel if a hot lead chooses not to buy or ghosts you when you thought the deal was all but complete? Are you confident with your marketing assets, such as your website , emails , and lead magnets? By understanding your own mindset, you can be more strategic in your marketing efforts and create messaging that truly resonates with your target audience. And by understanding your leads, you can serve them better. In this episode of the Talk Copy to Me podcast, coach Linda Perry and I cover all things mindset and more. ______________________________________________ Read the show notes and view the full transcript here: https://erinollila.com/understanding-mindsets-in-messaging-marketing-with-linda-perry/ ______________________________________________ Learn more about our guest expert, Linda Perry Linda Perry is a success strategist who combines mindset tools with strategic implementation to help small business owners crack the code to greater success. So, we are going to kick this off with our special guests, all of you, and I want you to just introduce yourself by sharing of course, who you are, but your role in the Think Tank. What you're doing in the Think Tank to help the members and maybe share a credential or two. Just brag a little bit about why you're so incredible at what you do. So, let's kick that off with Linda. Linda Perry: All right. Thank you for having me on. I am Linda Perry. I call myself a success strategist these days, and really what that means is that I combine the tools of mindset and some business strategy to help people bust through some of their blocks and take their business to the next level. I joined the Think Tank really to be that mindset coach to help people really bust through some of the stories they tell themselves so that they can actually achieve bigger goals and do the things that they set out to do. And so far it's been a pretty new role, but it has been a blast. And one of the things that I think makes me really good at what I do is I've worked with hundreds of business owners in different areas, but I have an ability to really see where those blocks are quickly and allow people to really implement the tools they need to move past them. I like to think of what I do as sort of this active learning lab, and part of what I love about being in Think Tank is that it is an active learning lab. They get to see in real-time how their blocks are standing in their way and really work toward taking steps. This isn't like therapy. This is really about taking actual steps that allow you to grow and become that person that you've always imagined in your head and achieve that kind of success you want. Rob Marsh: And I should add, Linda, because you didn't say it, but you have worked as a copywriter. You've built a six-figure copywriting business in the past. You've been through all of the copywriting trainings. And so not only have you built a business like so many of the other people in the Think T...

- TCC Podcast #234: Business Metamorphosis with Linda Perry
Mindset coach and business strategist, Linda Perry, is back for the 234th episode of The Copywriter Club Podcast. Linda is a recovering copywriter who sheds light on how to make mindset approachable in business. No matter what stage of business, everyone experiences struggles with mindset in one way or another. There's a ton of great advice in this episode. You’ll want to note all the ways you can make mindset practical in your own business. Here’s an inkling of what we talked about: • The mindset around pivoting and the fear of not making money. • The sneaky way low-hanging fruit can set you back if you’re not aware, and the better way to handle the low-hanging fruit. • The truth about being afraid to say no to projects and the feeling of always saying yes to everything. • The answer to the question: Are you telling yourself stories or facts? • How to create vision in your business and why it’s the #1 thing to do. • Why creating boundaries are key to setting yourself up to work the way YOU want to work. • The reality of overwhelm and why it’s a trap. • A clear vision is not a financial goal—here's what it really is. • The 3 steps to let go of the “how” to let your vision thrive Linda’s website Linda’s 1st TCC Episode The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson Kira’s website Rob’s website The Copywriter Club Facebook Group The Copywriter Underground Full Transcript: Rob: As a business owner, you get to decide how your business changes over time, whether it shrinks or grows, whether you add products or services, employees or not, it's all up to you. I was trying to think of a metaphor for how this works, but the regular metaphors that we use for transformation, like a caterpillar turning into a butterfly, doesn't really feel like a fit to me here because the process isn't that straightforward and the results that you get, aren't always beautiful. So maybe a better metaphor is playing with LEGO bricks, building one thing and then breaking off pieces to expand it here or there and changing it into something completely different. And oftentimes the colors don't match and the shape isn't perfect. And maybe this thing that you've built, isn't even recognizable to anybody who didn't see you build it or who you haven't told the thing is. And our guest for the 234th episode of The Copywriter Club Podcast is Think Tank alum, Linda Perry. She has dramatically reshaped and changed her copywriting business over the past year. A lot like playing with those LEGO bricks. And while the result is a better business, the process wasn't easy. And in a moment she's going to share exactly what that was like and where she's ended up. Kira: And clearly you have not played LEGO with me, Rob, because my colors do match. My shape is perfect. And the thing I build is always recognizable. Rob: You didn't grow up with the old sets where you only had... Kira: I did. Rob: ...like 15 bricks of blue and 15 bricks of red. Yeah. Kira: I did actually, and I feel like kids are missing out today because it's like, you have your blueprint and you have to make the thing that you purchased and you can just be more creative. So yeah, we can talk about LEGOs. I'm glad you're not talking about butterflies and caterpillars and LEGOs are way more fun. So thank you. And before we hear what Linda has to say, this podcast episode is brought to you by The Copywriter Think Tank. - Episode 17 - The head trash that stops entrepreneurs...and now to fix it with Linda Perry
Recovering trial attorney, copywriter, mindset coach. I first met Linda Perry in a mastermind. She was a stressed-out copywriter going above and beyond for her clients. And feeling it! I remember the moment Linda had her breakthrough. That kitchen table moment when she decided to go all-in as a mindset coach for entrepreneurs and small business owners. The reason she got into copywriting was she saw how life coaches had such a hard time marketing themselves. She knows what it’s like to bump up against those same obstacles and you just can’t bust through – no matter how hard you try. She saw how much business owners have this head trash, those feelings that you’re not good enough, that you don’t know enough, that you’re a fraud...all that stopping them from really being able to fulfill their business vision. She wanted to help people with real coaching designed to uncover and dismantle limiting beliefs and patterns so you can finally take real action! In this episode, Linda is going to give you some ideas for clearing out your head trash so you can take that action in your business to move you leaps and bounds from where you are now. So pull up your chair to the kitchen table with us and enjoy the show. Resources: If I do X and you do Y...I’m going to do Z...and follow through Unstoppable Linda Perry Mindsetters
