  • What Happens When Good Men Say Nothing

What if the thought that just crossed your mind arrived the same way a prayer is answered? In this lecture, Jordan Peterson opens with a claim that sounds impossible and spends the next ninety minutes making it undeniable: that thinking is a kind of secularized prayer, that every insight you have ever had arrived more like a revelation than like a calculation, and that the direction you aim decides not only what you think but what you are able to see at all.

From an ordinary argument with your wife, which Peterson uses to reveal something disturbing about the spirit in which you speak, he moves through a prophet alone in a cave, a man swallowed by the sea for staying silent, and two brothers and a rejected offering, building toward a single answer to the oldest question a person can ask. What faith turns out to be has almost nothing to do with belief in the way you were taught, and everything to do with a decision you are already making, every hour, whether you have noticed it or not. This lecture was filmed on May 16th, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. Unlock the ad-free experience of The Jordan B. Peterson Podcast and dive into exclusive bonus content on DailyWire+. • How to Stop Sabotaging Your Own Life

What if the self you keep trying to serve isn't actually you at all? In this lecture, the final stop of a 60 city tour, Jordan Peterson begins with an unlikely admission from the world's most famous atheist and follows it into the two shortest, densest paragraphs in the Bible: the story of two brothers and the offerings they make. From there he traces a single thread through the whole architecture of a human life, why the child who insists on his own way ends up with no friends, why a marriage cannot survive on getting what you want, and how a thousand quiet hours of resentment turn an ordinary person into someone capable of the unthinkable. What he uncovers is not a rule about religion but a question your own conscience has been asking you all along, one that decides whether the world opens up in front of you or closes in. The answer has nothing to do with belief in the usual sense, and everything to do with what you're willing to give up. This lecture was filmed on June 25, 2024, in Mexico City, Mexico. • What Jordan Peterson really thinks of Russell Brand...
    Russell Brand

Jordan Peterson sits down with Russell Brand and delivers one of the most unexpected assessments in modern media, calling Russell's brand of critical comedy the hallmark of the master critic and placing him alongside the great Jesters and Jokers of history as the highest form of social commentary. Peterson argues that playful public criticism aimed at corporations and institutions is not just appropriate but absolutely necessary, and that the comedic voice is what has given Russell the kind of broad cultural reach that conventional commentators can never achieve. Two of the most scrutinized voices in the Western world agree on one thing: without criticism, power goes completely unchecked. • Jordan Peterson: The Architect of Order and Chaos

Explore the rise of Jordan Peterson, from eccentric academic to global firebrand. We dive into his psychology roots, the Bill C-16 controversy, and his massive impact. [INTRO] ALEX: Most clinical psychologists spend their lives in quiet offices, but Jordan Peterson managed to turn a series of technical lectures on mythology and neuroscience into a global phenomenon that garnered billions of views. He became perhaps the most influential and polarizing intellectual of the 21st century by telling young men to clean their rooms. JORDAN: Wait, seriously? We’re talking about a guy who got famous for giving basic life advice? There has to be more to it than just household chores. ALEX: Oh, there is. He didn't just give advice; he stepped directly into the center of the culture wars, fighting over everything from gender pronouns to the very structure of human meaning. Today we’re tracing the arc of the man who went from a small-town kid in Alberta to a central figure in the global digital landscape. [CHAPTER 1 - Origin] ALEX: Jordan Peterson grew up in Fairview, Alberta, a place that shaped his rugged, traditionalist outlook. He was an academic high-achiever, eventually snagging two degrees from the University of Alberta before heading to McGill for a PhD in clinical psychology. By the mid-90s, he was actually teaching at Harvard. JORDAN: Harvard? So he wasn't just some fringe YouTuber with a webcam. He had the ultimate institutional stamp of approval. ALEX: Exactly. He was a deeply respected researcher. In 1998, he moved back to Canada to become a professor at the University of Toronto. A year later, he released a book called *Maps of Meaning*. It took him thirteen years to write, and it’s this massive, dense tome that tries to explain how we create belief systems using mythology, neuroscience, and philosophy. JORDAN: Thirteen years for one book? That sounds like the work of someone obsessed with the 'Big Questions.' Was it a bestseller right away? ALEX: Not even close. It was an academic niche. At that time, his world consisted of University of Toronto lecture halls and his private clinical practice. He was known for being an eccentric, charismatic teacher who wore capes and filled his house with Soviet-era art to remind himself of the dangers of totalitarianism. JORDAN: Okay, that is a very specific vibe. But how does a professor with a house full of Soviet art become a household name? [CHAPTER 2 - Core Story] ALEX: The turning point happened in 2016. The Canadian government proposed Bill C-16, which aimed to add gender identity and expression to the Human Rights Act. Peterson posted a series of videos on YouTube titled 'Professor against Political Correctness.' JORDAN: What was his actual beef with the law? Most people see anti-discrimination laws as a good thing. ALEX: Peterson argued it wasn't just about anti-discrimination; he claimed it was the first time the government was 'compelling' speech. He said that for the first time, the law would force you to use specific words—like new gender pronouns—under threat of legal penalty. He linked this to a broader critique of 'postmodern neo-Marxism.' JORDAN: I remember that blowing up. It felt like he was everywhere overnight. Did the bill actually pass? ALEX: It did pass in 2017, but by then, the fire was out of the bottle. Peterson became a hero to those who felt silenced by political correctness and a villain to those who saw him as a transphobic reactionary. He leaned into the momentum and published *12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos* in 2018. JORDAN: That’s the 'clean your room' book, right? ALEX: That’s the one. He took those deep, complex ideas from *Maps of Meaning* and boiled them down into practical rules like 'Stand up straight with your shoulders back.' He went on a massive world tour, selling out theaters like a rock star. He was making millions throu

  • From Jordan Peterson to Bible Sales: What’s Behind the New Interest in Christianity?
    Unbelievable?

Christianity is back in the conversation, and Dr Andrew Ollerton thinks it’s more than a moment. In this episode of Premier Unbelievable? The Interview, Luke Martin sits down with the Bible Society theologian, pastor, and creator of The Bible Course to explore the “Quiet Revival” and why Gen Z (and big-name podcasters) are re-opening the Bible. Andrew introduces his new book, God’s Book: An Honest Look at the Bible , and tackles the seven toughest topics readers stumble over: credibility, Genesis and science, Old Testament violence, slavery, and alleged sexism. With clarity and warmth, he argues for reading Scripture “in context, in Christ, and in community” and why faith isn’t trust in a text alone, but in a person. If you’re curious, sceptical, or stuck, this conversation will help you lean in, not shut the book. • Why Jordan Peterson Still Won’t Call Himself a Christian

Jordan Peterson defends Christianity more eloquently than most believers—so why won’t he call himself a Christian? Jordan Peterson has spent years circling Christianity—defending it, studying it, admiring it, and insisting that Western civilization cannot survive without it. Yet when asked a simple question— Are you a Christian? —he still refuses to say yes. Why? In this episode, I explore why Jordan Peterson, despite his deep respect for Christ and the Bible, still won’t call himself a Christian. The answer, I argue, is not primarily intellectual. It’s existential. Christianity does not merely ask to be understood. It demands surrender. It does not invite us to master it, but to be mastered by it. And for someone whose life has been built on meaning, responsibility, and self-authorship, that final step may be the most difficult of all. This is not an attack on Peterson. It’s a meditation on a tension many modern people feel: wanting the moral architecture of Christianity without the personal cost of confession and submission. And it’s a reminder that faith is not something we analyze from a safe distance—it’s something we eventually have to step into, or walk away from.

  • A Prayer for Jordan Peterson and His Family

Support the Show Summarized Transcript: Hey, everybody. It is October 12, 2025. Instead of posting a Sunday liturgy of some sort, I wanted to take time out to pray for Jordan Peterson. His daughter, Mikhaila Peterson, gave a health update for her father on YouTube a few days ago, which I’ll link in the show notes for you to check out. But let me quote you what she said on Instagram: “He’s recovering slowly day by day but I won't lie, it's slow and scary. He won't be back for another few months at least, probably longer. We’re not entirely sure what’s going on but it looks like possibly severe CIRS and a LOT of bad luck. Or we’re getting spiritually attacked. Or both. To be perfectly honest, I think a lot of this is spiritual. My newborn Audrey almost died of heart failure for no reason in June, dad got sick and came to stay with us in July, then needed a hospital and the same day he went to the hospital by ambulance, my newborn turned blue (again) at home for a different reason not heart related and went to a different hospital by ambulance. Within 3 hours of each other. It's been one thing after another in an otherworldly type of way.” So that’s the quote. And to clarify, CIRS is short for Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome, a condition characterized by a prolonged and systemic inflammatory response triggered by exposure to environmental toxins, such as mold, bacteria, and chemicals. For those of you who don’t know, Mikhaila Peterson now identifies as a Christian. She suspects these health crises for both her dad and child as possible spiritual attacks. So let’s pray for both Jordan Peterson, Mikhaila’s daughter, and their family overall… Father, Your word says that “no weapon formed against us will prosper.” And that “if God be for us, who can be against us?” I don’t presume to know Jordan Peterson’s heart or spiritual status, but Mikhaila suspects his issues—and her own daughter Audrey’s, for that matter—may very well be spiritual. Lord, Peterson’s work has had such a positive influence on me and countless others. So let’s first renounce and rebuke any demonic forces working against Jordan Peterson and his family. I pray you bind any unholy spirits and cast them far away from that family. If these are fiery darts from the enemy, as described in the book of Ephesians, put a hedge of protection around them to quench these attacks. And just as we read in 2 Kings 6, if they feel alone, may you open their eyes so that they may see there is more with them than there is with the enemy. Whether the problems are spiritual, medical, emotional, psychological, or otherwise, you are Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals. All problems are small to you. I pray you completely heal Jordan Peterson. I pray you keep Mikhaila’s daughter in perfect health, strengthen her heart, Father. I also pray for Jordan Peterson’s wife, Tammy, who dealt with her own health crisis. Not only do I ask that you keep her healthy, but keep her strong as well, as she deals with all of this. Whatever spiritual work of faith you’re doing in Peterson and his family, I ask that you keep doing it, knowing that he who began a good work will be faithful to complete it. Lastly, I pray for you to protect positive public voices, wherever they may be found. Let not the threat of sickness, or even violence, make anyone shrink back in fear. We ask all these things, in your name, Jesus Amen Thank you for listening to News on Knees, a community prayer podcast by Story King Media. • Jordan Peterson Live on Tour: The Hidden Key to a Fulfilling Life

In this powerful lecture from the We Who Wrestle With God tour, Dr. Jordan B. Peterson explores why stories aren't just entertainment—but the essential structure through which we perceive reality, aim toward meaning, and shape our lives. From biblical archetypes to everyday struggles, Peterson weaves a compelling argument that our suffering, identity, and moral choices are all governed by the stories we believe and the sacrifices we're willing to make. Drawing on deep psychological insight and ancient wisdom, he reveals that without a unifying aim, we drift toward bitterness and chaos—but with the right sacrifice, we forge a path toward meaning, community, and spiritual alignment.

This “We Who Wrestle With God” tour stop was filmed in Reading, PA on October 14th, 2024. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
