  • Danica Patrick Interview

On this special edition of SPEED with Harvick and Buxton, fueled by POET, Will Buxton sits down for an exclusive, unfiltered conversation with one of the most polarizing, groundbreaking, and influential figures in modern motorsport history: Danica Patrick. Danica traces her journey back to the raw, ultra-competitive days of Midwest go-karting before opening up about the pivotal, terrifying decision to move across the Atlantic to England at just 16 years old. She shares what it was really like to be dropped into the brutal European junior formula ladder as a teenager—navigating not just a completely foreign racing culture, but the isolation of breaking into a fiercely guarded "boys' club" of global racing. The conversation shifts to her historic open-wheel career, where she relives the magic and chaos of the 2005 Indianapolis 500—an iconic rookie performance where she led 19 laps and sent "Danica Mania" into absolute overdrive. She also takes us inside her transition to stock cars, reflecting on the immense pressure of capturing the pole position for the 2013 Daytona 500 and carrying the expectations of an entire sport on her shoulders. Finally, Danica gets candid about the psychological toll of the spotlight. She discusses how she learned to handle intense media scrutiny and paddock criticism, and offers a fascinating take on how today's hyper-reactive social media landscape would have fundamentally altered her career if it had been around during her peak racing days. It is a masterclass in mental toughness, resilience, and raw speed from a driver who refused to be defined by anyone else's rules. • Exploring Human Potential, Sciencing Spirituality, and Getting Intense – Danica Patrick Interviews Dave Asprey

In this episode, I do something different. Over the past 1000+ episodes, I have spent a lot of time talking and learning from my guests, but I have heard over and over that you would like to hear more from me about what I am doing, trying and thinking. Well, that can be awkward to do sitting alone in front of a microphone. A while ago, Danica Patrick interviewed me and it is one of my favorite podcast interviews ever. Danica did a great job of digging into why I do what I do, why I think the way I think, and best of all she allowed me to talk about parts of my life that I have never talked about anywhere else. So, Danica has kindly allowed me to drop that episode from her podcast, Pretty Intense, right here on the Human Upgrade. You are going to learn a lot from the episode. We hit on a lot of pretty next-level stuff - our conversation even allowed me to dig into the concept of old souls (or reincarnation), and how that affects our current life. • How to Find Your Own Winning Lane – Danica Patrick with Dave Asprey

On this episode of Bulletproof Radio, pretty intense professional race car driver Danica Patrick joins the show to talk about her winding journey doing all the things that excite and scare her the most. She lets her curiosity drive her, including doing what she fears. Could be bungee jumping, diving out of airplanes or eating scorpions and running wild with Bear Grylls . “It's not like I'm over the fear,” Danica admits. “I just like to know that if I have to overcome it, I can. I just like to know I can do it.” Danica started racing go-karts when she was just 10 years old. She left high school and moved to England to race when she was a teen and worked her way up to driving an IndyCar going 240 mph at age 23. She’s had gigs as a sports announcer, starred in 14 Super Bowl commercials, hosted the ESPY sports awards, created a clothing line and written a book. She’s currently a vineyard owner, hosts her own podcast, and a whole more. “I just like challenging myself,” Danica says. “I've realized that that's where I thrive, whether it was pushing a car to the very limit or interviewing someone that I'm intimidated by or hosting the ESPYs and not being funny at all. I'm like, how am I going to do this? Or even in a workout. I like to challenge myself.” This episode offers a great conversation on how we can get past the internal obstacles we tend to set up for ourselves and find our own kind of flow state. Danica’s approach to life is grounding, and we talk about how it frames everything from her foray into biohacking to her racing career. “I think that that's what's being asked of us, as humans, is that we learn how to get back into that emotional body and let that be the ultimate lie detector test for situations,” she says. Be sure to check out her podcast, “ Pretty Intense ™️.” She interviews fascinating people from vastly different backgrounds – again, letting her curiosity lead her.
