  • I Built the UK’s Fastest Start Up with Steven Bartlett: Levi Levenfiche
    We Have A Meeting

In this episode, we sit down with Levi Levenfiche , co-founder of Perfect Ted, the UK's fastest growing matcha brand, who went from funding the business with his own paychecks to negotiating million pound deals with Steven Bartlett. Levi breaks down the reality of building a food and beverage business from a kitchen table, why 99% of startups fail and the odds are even worse in F&B, and how Perfect Ted went from pretending to be a cafe to order matcha samples to becoming the largest matcha brand in the UK by consumption. He explains why they ignored every piece of advice telling them not to launch in Holland & Barrett, how they had four days to get their numbers ready for Dragons' Den, and why knowing your financials inside out is non negotiable if you want to survive the den. We dive deep into what happened after Dragons' Den aired, why it took nearly a year to sign the deal with Steven Bartlett that was shown in minutes on TV, and how they navigated negotiations when the business was doubling month on month. Levi reveals why Stephen isn't the type of investor who grills every number but focuses on brand and storytelling, how accountability changes everything when you're managing someone else's money, and why compromise is the foundation of any successful partnership. • #47: CLOSER with Steven Bartlett: Live in Singapore

Recorded live at CLOSER in Singapore, this was one of those rare sessions that reminded me of the heart behind CLOSER: to hold space for real, honest, soul-level conversations. In this conversation, Steven Bartlett opens up about his journey. He shares how he grew up as an outsider, built one of Europe’s fastest-growing companies, chose to walk away at the peak, and learned to find a fuller life beyond achievement. We also speak about what he is building today, and the lessons he has learned about making good decisions, building trust, and steering clear of the traps that hold people back. This episode is not the full conversation, but it offers a glimpse into some of the moments that moved us most. I hope something you hear in it stays with you, and maybe even shifts something in you, the way it did for me & so many others. To everyone who joined us that afternoon at CLOSER, thank you for leaning in with so much openness and heart. And to those tuning in now, I hope this conversation touches you the way it did all of us in the room. Take a breath, lean in, and come a little closer. VALUABLE RESOURCES https://www.expertempires.com https://bit.ly/7figcoachgroup https://www.expertempires.com/podcast/ ABOUT THE HOST Nick James Nick dropped out of university at the age of 21 and failed spectacularly with his first coaching business, which forced him to take a £16k/yr telesales job. Within 12 months he was the top performer and left to start his second business at 24. This time he discovered a winning formula and before long had a multi-six-figure company. He then made a huge mistake which nearly put him out of business and cost him £50,000 in personal cash! Fortunately, Nick kept it afloat, turned it around, and sold that business 2 years later in a seven-figure deal. He then co-founded a multi-million-pound marketing company, which he exited in 2015, and created Expert Empires. Today, Expert Empires is known as the UK's number one business event for Experts, with world-renowned celebrity speakers like Gary Vaynerchuk, Grant Cardone, Chalene Johnson, David Goggins, and Lewis Howes gracing the stage. Nick also specialises in helping Coaches, Consultants, Speakers, Trainers, and Authors take their businesses from zero to six figures and beyond through his Expert Empires Mastermind programme.

  • #88 The No.1 Bullsh*t Expert Fact Checks Steven Bartlett & Guest's With Caelan Tierney

Today we have Caelan Tierney the number 1 bulls*t expert to debunk and fact check some of the guests on the Diary of a Ceo podcast. For the past year or so Steven Bartlett's 'nutrition expert' guests or so called 'doctors' have been coming out with some wild claims or as Caelan and I like to call them conspiracy theories. From Jason Fung, Tim Spector and Gary Brecka we had a lot to debunk. We deep dived into intermittent fasting and why it is not a magic fix for your health or weight loss/fat loss journey, why spinning your water will do nothing for you and why you need to be very careful about what advice you take from this podcast because it has very very little evidence behind the claims from the guests if any (we know very little about the gut microbiome!) Considering Steven is a very very intilligent man and I'm fairly sure has a good grasp of most of these topics especially nutrition (why would he invest in so many nutrition based companies if he didn't?). It seems fairly overdue for him to come under the microscope after the amount of misinformation he allows to come from his podcast and let's not forget - something he ultimately profits from massively.
