But compared to his early years on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show”—when Stewart was merciless in his attacks on George W. Bush’s Administration—these are much more challenging times for late-night comedians. Jimmy Kimmel nearly lost his job over a remark about MAGA supporters of Charlie Kirk, after the head of the F.C.C. threatened ABC. CBS recently announced the cancellation of Stephen Colbert’s program. And Stewart now finds himself very near the hot seat: Comedy Central is controlled by David Ellison, the Trump-friendly C.E.O. of the recently merged Paramount Skydance. Stewart’s contract comes up in December. “You’re going to sign another one?” David Remnick asked him, in a live interview at The New Yorker Festival. “We’re working on staying,” Stewart said. “You don’t compromise on what you do. You do it till they tell you to leave. That’s all you can do.” Stewart, moreover, doesn’t blame solely Donald Trump for recent attacks on the independence of the media, universities, and other institutions. “This is the hardest truth for us to get at, is that [these] institutions . . . have problems. They do. And, if we don’t address those problems in a forthright way, then those institutions become vulnerable to this kind of assault. Credibility is not something that was just taken. It was also lost.” In fact, Stewart also directs his ire at “the Democratic Party, [which] thinks it’s O.K. for their Senate to be an assisted-living facility.” “In the general-populace mind, government no longer serves the interests of the people it purports to represent. That’s a broad-based, deep feeling. And that helps when someone comes along and goes, ‘The system is rigged,’ and people go, ‘Yeah, it is rigged.’ Now, he’s a good diagnostician. In the mid-1990s, a number of videos began circulating showing dramatic scenes of small Gray aliens being interrogated or dissected by military authorities. In 1997, Jon Stewart became deeply interested in an alien interview video released by a mysterious insider called Victor. Around 2018, Stewart began an intensive five-year investigation of the Victor Alien Interview, which he has just completed and submitted to the office of Congressman Tim Burchett of Tennessee, who has been outspoken in his belief that extraterrestrial life is the most likely explanation for the UAP/UFO phenomenon. In his second Exopolitics Today interview, Stewart discusses why he decided to deliver the results of his investigation to Congressman Burchett and why he feels confident that the US Congress will seriously investigate his claims of the alien interview taking place at a little-known S-2 facility at Area 51. Stewart claims that his investigation was able to identify two senior Defense Department personnel that were present at the interview, General Colin Powell and Rear Admiral Edward Sheafer. Stewart further discusses three other famous videos of Gray aliens that have been circulating for decades. These are the Alien Autopsy video released by Ray Santilli in 1995, the Skinny Bob Video that appeared in 2011, and the Alien Interrogation video that went viral in 2016 with over 7.5 million views. For this episode I am happy to be joined by Jon Stewart, a former Pro Wrestler & Governor Candidate for Illinois. We start off the episode by talking about wrestling for a little bit but eventually we get into the reason Jon came on. Jon first contacted me telling me he had a groundbreaking story about the 1997 Victor Alien Interview smuggled film. Jon's Bio: Jon Stewart is a retired American professional wrestler and former candidate for the U.S. Congress and the Office of Illinois Governor. He is best known for competing in the American Wrestling Association on ESPN, World Wrestling Association (WWA) and AWA Superstars of Wrestling LIVE. At his peak, Stewart wrestled on the ESPN Main Event eight separate times, eventually wrestling for the AWA Light Heavyweight Championship of the World in 1990. After his wrestling career was over, Stewart ran for the United States Congress in 2000. Because of Jesse Ventura's success, Stewart's campaign was featured on the OReilly Factor, Hannity and Combes, MSNBC and unbelievable to many sports writers, a feature article about Stewart also ran in the New York Times Magazine. In 2018, Stewart unsuccessfully ran for the Libertarian Parties nomination for Governor of IL. Stewart also has a foot into reality tv programming. He is an independent creative producer associated with INE Entertainment. After his wrestling career was over in 2008, Stewart became a Libertarian and also started as President of his families auto dealership. Stewart is past co-host of the podcast Truthbusters LIVE on the Triple T Network and he is currently in post production on his documentary, "The Grey Area". In August of this year, he became the choose ballot replacement for Secretary of State for the Libertarian Party.
