Ahead of the Apprising event, Melissa Law interviews Tom Clarke, Head of Sales at Yotpo, a leading e-commerce retention marketing platform. In this episode, Tom and Melissa discuss key strategies for boosting customer loyalty, including the importance of experiential and non-monetary benefits in loyalty programs, integrating digital and physical touchpoints, and effectively promoting programs to drive engagement. Tom emphasizes the value of leveraging metrics like customer lifetime value, recency, and frequency to measure success and shares examples like AC Milan’s rapid adoption of a loyalty program, which secured 5,000 sign-ups in five days. • The Evolving NHS - Lessons for Pharma and Medtech - NHS insights webinar with David Thorne and Tom Clarke

Send us Fan Mail From capacity management to changing performance measures, discover what’s changing in the NHS, the impact on the NHS long-term plan and what all this means for the future of market access. Tom Clarke and David Thorne , from the Mtech Access NHS Insights & Interaction team, review some of the insights from our earlier series: ‘ How is COVID-19 impacting the NHS? ’, as well as exploring trends and challenges uncovered in conversation with our network of NHS Associates in our first 'Whispers Words of Wisdom' podcast. Tom and David begin by reflecting on what has changed in the NHS over 2020 and how this has evolved over time. They explore how the NHS response to the pandemic has impacted long-term plan priorities, particularly in the light of the recently published Evidence Based Interventions Engagement document (from http://www.aomrc.org.uk/ebi/ ). Tom and David also discuss cooperation, collaboration and capacity management both within the NHS and with the independent sector. They consider how quickly hospitals and primary care will be able to clear the backlog of patients and the measures that might be brought in to enable this. Taking all of this into consideration, David and Tom discuss how the pharma and medtech industries can support the NHS at this time and how these changes may impact the future of market access. For example, they explore how changes to performance measures may affect future economic models and how economic evaluations could be made more relevant to local commissioning decisions. This episode was originally broadcast on 31st July 2020 as a webinar. Tom spent 16 years within the more journalistic side of PR where he discovered and mastered the power of the press release, which amongst a whole host of other topics, we’re going to cover today. Tom also creates online course, covering topics such as press release writing, which I implore you to check out. The link as always is in the show notes. Takeaways - Tom described a PR Strategy as one that gets you in front of a much bigger audience than your current comms do, to those that don’t know you yet. - The main difference between Journalism and standard copywriting is that when writing a piece for a journalist, you are doing just that, writing with the middleman in mind. What will gain their attention and trust enough for them to publish it, whereas you have much more control in your copywriting and where this will be featured and the final edit! - In order to write an effective press release, Tom shared the elements that we all need to be considering: - The Who, What, Where, Why and When - It needs to be quick and succinctly written - With a solid 1st paragraph - And a punchy first line - And remember, always ruin the ending, by placing this at the beginning!
