We have a famous actor paying tribute to a rock legend. Hank Azaria brings his EZ Street Band to the Franklin Theatre tomorrow night. The acclaimed actor and voice artist, best known for his decades of work on The Simpsons, will be using his talents to celebrate Bruce Springsteen. Azaria spent months creating an impression of Bruce’s speaking and singing voice but he told our very own Jason Moon Wilkins during an interview that the concert experience is more than just a night of cover songs. He also tells us what Springsteen and Julia Roberts have in common and what the Boss himself thinks of the EZ Street Band. Hank Azaria created more than 100 voices for The Simpsons, including Moe the Bartender, Chief Wiggum and (formerly) Apu. So why is the single most talented voice actor of his generation, at 60 years old, suddenly the lead singer of a Springsteen tribute band? Because — in recovery from the fear that helped originate his superpower, the failure that forced him to embrace "character acting," the cancellation that became a case study, and the threat of A.I. — he was overtaken by Bruce Juice. And today, inside PTFO's studio, he takes the stage. • Catch Hank Azaria and the EZ Street Band on Tour https://www.ezstreetnyc.com/ Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

More About Dopey: Dopey Podcast is the world’s greatest podcast on drugs, addiction and dumb shit . Chris and I were two IV heroin addicts who loved to talk about all the coke we smoked, snorted and shot, all the pills we ate, smoked, all the weed we smoked and ate, all the booze we consumed and all the consequences we suffered. After making the show for 2 and a half years, Chris tragically relapsed and died from a fentanyl overdose. Dopey continued on, at first to mourn the horrible loss of Chris, but then to continue our mission - which was at its core, to keep addicts and alcoholics company. Whether to laugh at our time in rehab, or cry at the worst missteps we made, Dopey tells the truth about drugs, addiction and recovery . We continually mine the universe for stories rife with debauchery and highlight serious drug taking and alcoholism . We also examine different paths toward addiction recovery . We shine a light on harm reduction and medication assisted treatment . We talk with celebrities and nobodies and stockpile stories to be the greatest one stop shop podcast on all things drugs, addiction, recovery and comedy pathfinding the route to the heart of the opioid epidemic.
