[2.5+ HOUR LONG SHOW! JOIN THE PIZZA FUND! $12 level. https://podawful.com/posts/2541 ] Ethan Van Sciver's COPE TOUR has begun. He spent an entire hour on Dick Masterson's show talking about THROAT GOAT, but somehow I never got a mention. Dick Masterson and Vito talk about the Eric July episode... but Vito can't remember watching PODAWFUL. Kinda WEIRD, huh? Aaron Imholte from Steel Toe Morning Show gives a plug to our new COMICSGATE™ merch, Ethan Van Skeever flirts with some dudes, fills in some cracks, and licks a toilet. Which I guess is where he found his content. The #THROATGOAT meme is spreading, and Dan Fraga proves even kids love it. Dick Masterson's upcoming throat baby is playing a dicey 40-something-year-old-birth game of "Autism or Dead?" VIDEO: https://youtube.com/live/LCI3dsljuO4 Buy A Shirt: http://podawful.shop <spa

https://3speak.tv/watch?v=alohaed/bsdqjpjx In this clip It was interesting to see Comicsgate Ethan Van Sciver, and Mandie Summer celebrate the Youtube revenue that was generated during an earlier live stream. Earlier during a Comcisgate Kings Youtube program Dan Fraga had an emotionally charged discussion and argued with Ethan Van Sciver, Jon Malin, and Shane Davis over treatment of former Comicsgate associates Patrick Thomas Parnell, Phil Diaz, and others. Van Sciver's audience reacted with anger and began sending multiple superchats so that Van Sciver would read their condemnation of Dan Fraga during the program. Fraga had just unwittingly volunteered as Comicsgate's next villain. Does it sound ridiculous that a group who alleged purpose is to use Youtube to finance and promote comic books, has an "enemies list", it is ridiculous but it also appears to be lucrative. It's an interesting mechanism to extract money from a group conditioned to be reactionary. It follows that Comicsgate has a direct financial incentive to generate ongoing conflicts, and that is appears to be a reliable mechanism for Comicsgate to extract revenue from a demonstrably gullible audience. For aspiring creators who are more interested in producing meaningful stories and art, that contrived conflicts with marginal personalities, they should perhaps consider keeping Comcisgate at several arms lengths. The conflicts may have real world consequence Van Sciver and Comcisgate on more than one occasion have encouraged fans to target creators and critical fans with harassment or annoyance. In this episode of the Comic Zone Vincent chats with acclaimed comic book artist Ethan Van Sciver. Ethan talks about his early days with his self-made comic Cyberfrog, his tough time at Marvel, and his exciting return to DC with the Green Lantern Rebirth series. He shares how he creates his art, deals with challenges, and reimagines Hal Jordan as a bold, heroic character. * This episode was originally released on January 24th, 2005.
https://3speak.tv/watch?v=alohaed/njzyqdicni On February 21, 2025 Eric July launched a campaign for ISOM Volume 3, a graphic novel published by Rippaverse Comics. https://rippaverse.com/ Ethan Van Sciver and Comicsgate have spent the last year obsessively criticizing July, so I was curious how Isom 3 compared to recent Comicsgate campaigns for graphic novels on Indieogo. In the chart I've recorded the top 10 best performing Comicsgate projects in 2024. The data includes backer numbers from the first 24 hours, the total number of backers from active phases of campaigns, and the total number of backers including the InDemand phase which may persist for months or years. 24-hour backer numbers were extracted from Backertracker, where it appeared that the first day of a Comicsgate campaign only included a few hours - I added day and day 2, this may have slightly inflated the 24-hour backer numbers for the Comicsgate projects. The best 24-hour backer numbers for Comicsgate were 1,094 for Ethan Van Sciver with the "Cyberfrog Heartsick Deluxe Plus Race Car!", the same campaign also had the best total backers with 1,948. 1,094 is slightly more than one third of the backers for Eric July's Isom volume 3. Van Sciver had 5 unique campaigns in 2024 adding all of the 24-hour backers from the 5 projects produced a sum of 2,465 backers or approximately 82% of Eric July's first day backers from one project. The data may suggest that Comicsgate would be better served promoting its own projects rather than criticizing others.
