- Building GPU Finance Rails with David Choi from USD.AI
You can borrow against most of the valuable assets - land, house, factory, and even art. But you still can't easily get a loan against GPUs, one of the most valuable assets on earth right now. David Choi, co-founder of USDai (Permian Labs), is building the market that fixes that. He lends against the chip rather than the company, and uses crypto rails to turn that debt into a tradeable instrument instantly, instead of over the three years traditional securitisation takes. We get into why banks won't finance chips, why GPUs beat every other asset they tested, what stops a borrower from running off with the hardware, and why GPU-backed debt eventually replaces all credit in an AI-driven economy. This is a public episode. If you would like to discuss this with other subscribers or get access to bonus episodes, visit www.decentralised.co
- #103 | The Interest Rate of AI: Financing Nvidia GPUs with David Choi
Why is every AI company suddenly trying to get a mortgage for their Nvidia GPUs? In Episode 104, Marco sits down with David Choi, the architect behind USDAI and the upcoming CHIP token, to expose the massive, hidden financial engine driving the artificial intelligence boom. While the market is distracted by chat models and software, the real bottleneck (and the biggest yield opportunity of the next decade) is financing the physical hardware. David breaks down exactly why traditional Wall Street and private credit are failing to fund the data centers, why RWA stablecoins keep breaking, and how CHIP is positioning itself to become the fundamental "Interest Rate of AI." --------- Follow Marco's Twitter https://x.com/ManoppoMarco/ Follow Lambro's Twitter https://x.com/2lambro/ Read our free newsletter for the next best web3 products, strategies, and trends. So, in 2017, he began developing a proprietary deal sourcing platform, using a data-driven approach to sourcing and acquiring deals on a national level. So, in this episode, David will share where to get "clean" data and how to narrow it down to your target market. To successfully acquire deals, you need to keep the process simple and be consistent with your marketing strategies. David shares how to get in touch with those gold mine properties and sellers who are highly motivated to sell and follow up with them. What is his highest return on advertising dollars? What do the ratios look like, for example, in the number of connects versus the actual closes?
