As Donald Trump freaks out, holding his maskless rallies and tweeting about how he could garner multimillion dollar donations from corporations for favors he could do for them, it is a good time to commemorate Preet Bharara, former US Attorney for the Southern District of NY. The New York Times called him one of the "nation's most aggressive and outspoken prosecutors of public corruption and Wall Street Crime" during his tenure. Bharara had been asked to remain in his post by the Trump transition team in November 2016, but on 2nd thought decided to fire him instead in March 2017 as he might be investigating the Trump Organization, operating out of Manhattan, in the heart of the Southern District of New York.
