Jenn McAllister aka jennxpenn started filming YouTube videos when she was a twelve-year-old living in Pennsylvania. At first other kids made fun of her for making videos...until her channel blew up and suddenly people who used to bully her were now shouting out, "hey, it's jennxpenn!" Now twenty two and living in Los Angeles, Jenn has been making YouTube videos weekly for nearly a decade, and her channel has over 3 million subscribers. Jenn has essentially grown up on YouTube and today she tells us the pros and also cons that come with that. One pro is that her YouTube success helped open the acting door, as she's now the star of the series 'Foursome" and 'All Night.' Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
Jenn McAllister has 3.1 million subscribers and counting on YouTube, where she documents her life as jennxpenn. Jenn started uploading videos to YouTube when she was 12. At 16, she signed a deal with Awesomeness TV, then moved from Bucks County Pennsylvania to Los Angeles. She published her best-selling autobiography, Really Professional Internet Person , in 2015, and for the past two years has starred in the YouTube Red series, Foursome , alongside Logan Paul, for which she won a Streamy Award as best actress in 2016. The third season of Foursome premieres in November 2017, and Jenn caught me up on everything. So let's get to it!
I hope you are having a most awesome day! I CANNOT wait for you to listen to our new podcast. Do you know why? Because I totally invited Jenn Mcallister back for a part deux! After our first podcast with Jenn, you all had a ton of questions and requests. And, your questions were SO good. You especially wanted to know how to overcome food addiction, what strategies to use when trying to change your mindset around food and, most importantly, what are the best rewards when you reach goals. And, Jenn does not disappoint. As we dive in, Jenn shares how she went from rewarding her weight loss goals with a large pizza to a more satisfying and "healthy" reward, the number one strategy she uses to NOT overeat, and then she drops a major truth bomb on how she changed her mind about carbs. What I love about Jenn is her real-ness. She struggles with her wellness journey just like all of us. And she has the courage to share her story. So, gird your loins, we are about to drop some #truthbombs, woot! Smiles, Lori
I hope you are having a most awesome day! I can't WAIT for you to listen to our newest podcast that just dropped! Why am I so excited? Because in this podcast, our newest Boot Camp Challenge ® trainer, Jenn Mcallister, dives deep into her own personal battle with weight. From how she'd lose it, gain it back, lose it, and gain it back again- the vicious cycle that ended up with her topping off the scale at 275 pounds. She holds nothing back as she discusses the bullying, her own self esteem, hiding in the gym, and feeling as if she wasn't skinny enough to even be there. Now, thanks to Boot Camp Challenge ® , she's nearly lost 100 pounds and is sharing her journey with others-- as a trainer. She's walked the walk and now she's talking the talk. She knows the pain. She knows the struggle. She knows the journey- because she's lived it. She'll tell you the one thing that finally turned the page for her, how avoiding the scale is a joke you're telling yourself, and how she was able to turn HATERS into MOTIVATORS. But, more importantly, she shares how becoming a trainer wasn't just something she wanted to do. It's something she's been CALLED to do. She shares how she knows she will fall again, but also knows she has to be there for her campers, as much as they are now there for her. Accountability, holding on as a team, and making each other better- it's what we do here at Boot Camp Challenge ® . So grab a cup of coffee or wine, get your laundry going, and join me for a chat as I'll share with you Jenn's story. And, it is a good one! Smiles, Me

Site: http://www.audiobooks.com/podcast | Email: podcast@audiobooks.com Welcome back to the Audiobooks.com Podcast! We're wrapping up this year in audiobooks with the Best of 2015. We've coalesced this list of top audiobooks based on sales and public response and segmented them by fiction and non-fiction so we can dish it up for you with some color commentary. You'll recognize several titles on these two lists from previous discussions on the podcast. We talked about Elon Musk in episode 2. Why Not Me, Go Set a Watchman and Girl in the Spider's Web in episode 12. And even though Addy has been struggling to read a Stephen King novel, we got a voicemail from a listener encouraging her to give it another go! Reflecting back on 2015, we see trends amongst the most popular books. One is gender flipping, such as with Grey by E. L. James, when an author, who has written from one gender’s point of view, writes another novel in the voice of another gender in the original, or a novel that jumps between the point of view of a man and a woman. Another trend is comedians writing autobiographies, or otherwise works of non-fiction. In addition to Aziz Ansari and Mindy Kaling on the non-fiction list below, 2015 also saw books from David Spade, Rainn Wilson, Tim Hawkins, Amy Poehler, and Judd Apatow. We’re not complaining! The final trend is similar to the second but even more, indicative of how much our culture is changing. YouTubers and Bloggers are also writing books, which brings us new authors like Miranda Sings, Shane Dawson, and Jenn McAllister, amongst a shocking number of other book deals from the visual internet mediums. Without further ado, here are the lists! Let's see if they match up with your top 10 of 2015! Fiction The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins Grey by E.L. James Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll Girl in the Spider's Web by David Lagercrantz Finder's Keepers by Stephen King Rogue Lawyer by John Grisham See Me by Nicholas Sparks Seveneves by Neal Stephenson Non-Fiction Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari Down the Rabbit Hole by Holly Madison The Wright Brothers by David McCullogh Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future Dead Wake: The Last Crossing of the Lusitana by Erik Larson Why Not Me by Mindy Kaling Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology by Leah Rimini Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates The Road to Character by David Brooks Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear Elizabeth Gilbert Show us some love!
