In the Bromsgrove poll, Mr Javid finished on 34,409 votes with Labour’s Rory Shannon second on 11,302. Liberal Democrat Dr David Nicholl received 6,779 and the Green Party’s Kevin White had 1,783. The turn-out was similar to the last election at 73 per cent.
