Fighting paused but the conflict didn’t. It turned into a cold war of alliances, spying, and people smiling in your face while working against you. That’s exactly why Surah Al-Mumtahanah hits so hard. Allah teaches the believers who to trust, who not to trust, and how loyalty in Islam is not based on tribe, politics, or family pressure. Ustadh unpacks the pledge of the believing women and shows how Allah turns it into a filter for real iman: no shirk, no theft, no betrayal, no killing, no slander, and no disobedience in what is right. And then the Surah flips the spotlight back on us. Because “enemies” aren’t only outside the community. If we ignore corruption and disloyalty inside our own homes while pretending to care about the Ummah, we’re missing the entire point. ------------------------------ 📚 Start your Quran journey at https://www.bayyinahtv.com 🎁 Sponsor a soul who seeks the Quran with a Bayyinah TV membership at https://bayyinah.com/gift
Watch the full breakdown of Surah Al-Muddaththir, ayah by ayah, now streaming exclusively on Bayyinah TV under the Deeper Look section: https://byna.tv/238 Delivered earlier today at the Surau at Kumpulan Media Karangkraf in Shah Alam, Malaysia, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan’s khutbah highlights some profound ayat from the beginning of Surah Al-Muddaththir which can be used as a blueprint for giving da’wah. Ustadh explores the deeper meaning behind the command in the 4th ayah “… and purify your garments” - وَثِيَابَكَ فَطَهِّرْ This isn’t just literally about cleaning our clothes. The “dirt” that we’re commanded to purify is also that which clings to us emotionally, spiritually, and socially as we experience the world and deal with the people in our lives. The stains of insult, anger, disappointment and ego gather like dirt from the road, and this ayah is a call to keep cleansing, again and again. Since da’wah requires a clean heart and presence, we can’t carry the weight of yesterday into every new encounter, and we can’t afford to wear the wrong emotional “outfit” when addressing the people. With this command, the Prophet ﷺ had no option but to “clean his clothes” despite the ongoing insults and abuse from his enemies. This character training ultimately gave the Prophet ﷺ and his mission more power, making him undefeatable. Despite their words, they were unable to “stain” him ﷺ. Those hoping to give da’wah to take heed and embody this quality within themselves. ------------------------------ 📚 Start your Quran journey at https://www.bayyinahtv.com 🎁 Sponsor a soul who seeks the Quran with a Bayyinah TV membership at https://bayyinah.com/gift
Recently in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan delivered a khutbah in which the two panics at the type of Musa (as) and Fir'awn occured: the panic in Fir'awn's own government, and the panic among the Bani Israel. Ayat 127-129 of Surah Al -A'raf capture this crucial moment in this story; a moment when Musa (as) had successfully defeated the magicians and destroyed Fir'awns great propaganda machine. Panic ensued among the chiefs who began questioning Fir'awn himself. Despite this victory, Musa's own people - Bani Israel - had their own panic. It was inevitable that Fir'awns army would come for them, and they became skeptical of Musa's (as) mission. The powerful advice that Musa (as) gave to them at this time is what forms the backbone of this khutbah. A message about power, taqwa, and seeking help from Allah alone. ------------------------------ 📚 Start your Quran journey at https://www.bayyinahtv.com 🎁 Sponsor a soul who seeks the Quran with a Bayyinah TV membership at https://bayyinah.com/gift
Delivered at the East Preston Islamic College in Melbourne, Australia, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan's khutbah this past week was targeted towards the Muslim youth. Ustadh chose to share a pertinent reminder from Surah Al-Baqarah [2:166-167] on how those who were followed will disown their followers on the Day of Judgment. He draws parallels from these verses to celebrity and "influencer" culture that's gripping our youth today, reminding them that their favourite online YouTuber, streamer, singer or famous influencer will not care about them at all when it really matters. ------------------------------ 📚 Start your Quran journey at https://www.bayyinahtv.com 🎁 Sponsor a soul who seeks the Quran with a Bayyinah TV membership at https://bayyinah.com/gift
Learn more about the story of Prophet Musa (AS) in the 'Stories' section of Bayyinah TV: https://byna.tv/gift8 In a khutbah delivered at Masjid Al-Rahman in Gosnells, Australia, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan strikes an eye-opening parallel between the corruption of Pharaoh and what we see in our world today. Recalling ayat from Surah Az-Zukhruf [43:51-54], Ustadh Nouman reminds us of a specific moment in the story of Pharaoh and Musa (AS). After all attempts to tarnish the image and message of Musa failed, and after being humiliated in front of his own government and the public at large, Pharaoh desperately resorts to lies, false propaganda and personal attacks against Musa (AS) in order to maintain some form of power and influence over the people of Egypt. Allah shares his example as a case study, teaching us how the minds of power hungry and corrupt leaders work. ------------------------------ 📚 Start your Quran journey at https://www.bayyinahtv.com 🎁 Sponsor a soul who seeks the Quran with a Bayyinah TV membership at https://bayyinah.com/gift
During today’s Khutbah from the Holland Park Mosque in Brisbane, Australia, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan extracts key lessons from the story of Musa (AS), Fir’awn and the Bani Isra’il, taken from ayat within Surah Al-A’raf. “Why are we still suffering, even after turning to Allah ﷻ?” This question arose among the elders of the Bani Isra’il who were concerned that despite Musa (AS) delivering the message of one true God, they were still undergoing hardship. The Quran captures their frustration: “We have always been oppressed—before and after you came to us” [7:129] Prior to Musa’s message, the concept of a ‘god’ to them used to be one that provided a transactional relationship: you make some type of offering, and in return, total freedom from hardship is to be expected. Therefore, after accepting the God of Musa (AS), they expected change, power, and relief. But Musa (AS) didn’t promise this. He reminded them: Allah ﷻ gives power to whoever He wills, and then watches what they do with it. Pharaoh had immense power and control of the narrative, yet his inflated ego destroyed him. We must then ask ourselves, when Allah gives us power, how will we use it? Will we let the ‘Pharaoh inside of us’ come out and also become oppressors, or will taqwa take the lead? This is the true test of a believer. ------------------------------ 📚 Start your Quran journey at https://www.bayyinahtv.com 🎁 Sponsor a soul who seeks the Quran with a Bayyinah TV membership at https://bayyinah.com/gift
In this Khutbah filmed recently at Blacktown Mosque, Sydney, Australia, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan unpacks Surah Al-Hashr (59:8–10), where Allah honors three communities. The Muhajirun who lost homes and assets for one reason only, loyalty to Allah and His Messenger. The Ansar who were settled in their city and in faith yet loved the migrants, felt no envy over what they were given, and preferred others even while struggling themselves. Then there is us, those who come later. Our first work is to ask Allah’s forgiveness, to pray for those who came before with iman, and to keep our hearts free of resentment toward any believer. The Quran lowers the noise of rivalry and raises the standard of sincerity. If you cannot rebuild what the first generations built, at least do no harm to the house they raised. ------------------------------ 📚 Start your Quran journey at https://www.bayyinahtv.com 🎁 Sponsor a soul who seeks the Quran with a Bayyinah TV membership at https://bayyinah.com/gift
In this khutbah, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan speaks on one of the most urgent issues facing Muslims today: the collapse of ethics in business and the economic traps of both capitalism and socialism. Drawing from the Quran, he explains that economic justice is not just a political issue, it’s one of the Quran’s earliest priorities. The khutbah reflects on Surah Al-Mutaffifin and other early revelations where Allah condemned dishonest trade and warned of a society built on greed. Ustadh Nouman highlights how capitalism thrives on exploitation, while socialism can suffocate innovation. Islam offers a different path: ethical wealth, honest trade, and economic systems rooted in trust and justice. It’s not enough to complain about corrupt industries. We need Muslims who build alternatives, with excellence and integrity. Because when the Ummah gets business right, it builds not just wealth but barakah. ------------------------------ 📚 Start your Quran journey at https://www.bayyinahtv.com 🎁 Sponsor a soul who seeks the Quran with a Bayyinah TV membership at https://bayyinah.com/gift
Over 50,000 souls are waiting for you to support their journey of studying the Quran. Give the gift of Bayyinah TV: https://byna.tv/gift1 In this week's khutbah, delivered at the Islamic Centre of Munich in Germany, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan reflects on two powerful Ayat from Surah Ibrahim (14:34-35), where Allah reminds us of the countless favors He has granted us, and then brings us to the dua of Ibrahim (AS), made not for the world, but for his children. This khutbah uncovers a deeply relevant message for our time: The breakdown of fatherhood isn’t just a family issue. It’s a societal crisis. Through the lens of Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) words in the Quran, we explore what it truly means to be a father in Islam, and what’s lost when that role is diminished. From Western media portrayals to shifting cultural norms, Ustadh Nouman challenges the dangerous narrative that fathers are passive, dispensable, or irrelevant. ------------------------------ 📚 Start your Quran journey at https://www.bayyinahtv.com 🎁 Sponsor a soul who seeks the Quran with a Bayyinah TV membership at https://bayyinah.com/gift
Study Surah Al-Kahf with us exclusively on Bayyinah TV: https://byna.tv/466Dm16 In today’s Khutbah, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan reflects on a powerful Ayah from Surah Al-Kahf: **“And never say of anything, ‘Indeed, I will do that tomorrow,’ except [when adding], ‘If Allah wills.’ And remember your Lord when you forget and say, ‘Perhaps my Lord will guide me to what is nearer than this to right conduct’” (18:23–24). We live in a culture obsessed with results, grades, degrees, milestones, achievements. Yet the Quran redefines success as consistent growth, step by step, guided by Allah’s will. Progress is the real goal, not perfection. Your past, whether stronger or weaker, does not define you. What matters is the step you take *from where you are right now*. Every day Allah grants us life again is a chance to move closer, even if only by one step. ------------------------------ 📚 Start your Quran journey at https://www.bayyinahtv.com 🎁 Sponsor a soul who seeks the Quran with a Bayyinah TV membership at https://bayyinah.com/gift
