Recuerdo perfectamente la época en que se lanzó Voyager; Estaba en el instituto y musicalmente fue una época en que la música “celta” tuvo una gran aceptación a nivel mundial de la cual se vieron beneficiados no solo los grupos del eje atlántico que se encuadraban dentro de este género, sino que gente de diversos rincones del planeta, desde estilos que poco tenían que ver adoptaron o absorbieron elementos de este boom musical folk. En mi grupo de amigos había cierto grado de alegría y orgullo, como amantes de la buena música, por el hecho de que grupos de nuestra tierra gallega pudieran ser conocidos a nivel internacional y también como parte importante del legado musical; Milladoiro, Emilio Cao, Berrogüetto, Na lúa, Budiño, Brath, Doa, Mutenrohi..., y por supuesto no hay que menospreciar el boom mediático que significó Carlos Núñez. Antes de esta pequeña fiebre, nosotros ya disfrutábamos de los sonidos celtas, no solo de nuestra tierra, sino también de grupos como Gwendal, Clannad o The Chieftains, teniendo como disco de cabecera la “Sinfonía celta” de Alan Stivell. Pero cuando cogíamos a todos esos grupos y los sometíamos al mínimo común múltiplo, este siempre daba como resultado Mike Oldfield. El fue quien nos presentó la música tradicional en un golosísimo envoltorio a lo largo y ancho de su carrera discográfica, por eso no nos pillaba demasiado distraídos el hecho de que lanzase un disco dedicado a esta música.
