In this episode of Futurise , Rob Price explores why endangered language models matter—not just for inclusion, but for the future of agentic AI itself. Featuring Anna Mae Yu Lamentillo , founder and Chief Futures Officer of NightOwl AI. In this conversation, we discuss: Why most AI models exclude entire cultures and languages What endangered language models really are The implications for accessibility, bias, and agentic systems Lessons for organisations building bespoke and domain-specific AI models. Anna Mae Yu Lamentillo is the founder of NightOwl AI, a mission-driven company using AI to preserve endangered languages and combat digital exclusion. Her work focuses on ensuring AI reflects the full spectrum of human culture—not just the dominant few. Chairperson of Build, Build, Build Committee, Ms. Anna Mae Yu Lamentillo, recently gave us an update on the on-going construction of bridges across Pasig and Marikina rivers. Part of the EDSA Decongestion Masterplan is the construction of new bridges and re-enforcement of existing bridges all over Metro Manila. The plan is to increase the crossing points over the rivers criss-crossing Metro Manila, and ease up traffic on the bottlenecks. Two new bridges are scheduled for opening to motorists in September 2021. Estrella-Pantaleon Bridge will connect Mandalayuong and Makati over Pasig river. Over 50,000 vehicles are expected to pass through this bridge, reducing traffic volume over the Mandaluyong Bridge. The Binondo-Intramuros Bridge will cross from Solana all the way to San Fernado bridge with a viaduct over the Estero de Binondo. The bridge will take some of the volume off the old Jones Bridge. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/arnel-doria/message
First off the list is the twin projects of Sta Monica-Lawton Bridge and Global City Viaduct that will connect BGC and Ortigas Center. To prevent traffic build up in the Pasig side, the streets of Brixton and Failane will be widened to accommodate additional vehicles. Scheduled to be finished in August 2021, the new bridge is expected to handle 30,000 vehicles daily, easing up traffic volume on Guadalupe Bridge. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/arnel-doria/message
In the EDSA Decongestion Masterplan to be completed by 2022 under the DPWH, led by secretary Mark Villar, every city in Metro Manila can be reached in as short as 20 minutes to as long as 30 minutes. It will free up major thoroughfares by at least 120,000 vehicles. The program involves construction and repair of 14 roads and expressways spanning 121,850 meters costing P180.6 billion, and 11 bridges worth P42 billion spanning 9,348 meters. Build, Build, Build Committee Chairperson Anna Mae Yu Lamentillo tells us the details of these projects (as of November 2020). --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/arnel-doria/message
