Angelica Rivera (She/Ella) is an Afro-Dominican and bilingual Licensed Master Social Worker residing in and practicing in New York. Driven by a profound commitment to empowerment and equity, her work is characterized by an anti-oppressive, humanity-centered, and trauma-informed approach. Angelica is deeply dedicated to serving BIPOC, LGBTQ, immigrants, and survivors, striving to dismantle systemic barriers and build inclusive communities. Currently, Angelica serves as a School Social Worker at an alternative high school, providing comprehensive support to immigrant, refugee, and English language learners on their journey to obtain their GED diplomas. Angelica also serves as a therapist at a private practice, offering teletherapy to patients navigating a wide range of stressors, conditions, feelings, and thoughts. Angelica earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Literature and Composition from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the New York University Silver School of Social Work.
